Long time since I’ve written something to you. Been real busy these days with the end term exams coming up and then the week long college fest. Anyway, holi’s coming up…. and like every day worth remembering, your memories have come flooding back.
As long as I can remember, we have always been together on holi (except these last few years when you were in Cardiff). Every year, it was you who would come to my place the earliest (as it was the farthest) and then we’ll all set off together. We had so much fun. On the roads, at your place, sunny’s place. Remember the holi we once saw at Deepu Bana’s place. It was so wild we ran away from here.
Your open jeep was so much part of us during holi. We ran wild in that so many times. One particular year I remember, I think in your first year of college in Delhi, that we went to Deepu Bana’s farm house after holi at your place. I’m sure, Sunny and Gaurav will recall that and what happened afterwards….. It was great, those were the best times of our lives.
I have brought all our old photographs here to Anand. While skimming through them, I got an old photo of the five of us outside sunny’s house. We all looked very small, hardly recognizable. And we’re all standing outside sunny’s main gate totally drenched and coloured from head to toe.
Ah!!! those were the days, and heaven’s knows when we’ll get those again……
I’m sure his holi will bring back more memories. They always do, you know…. After seeing sunny’s message I coud’nt help wondering about Jaipur and the great time we had there. I went to Jaipur for a day last month and on every road I went, there was something to remember. Its almost as if the entire city was our playground. And boy, did we played or what!!!!!!
I’m sure that you know that we’re all doing pretty well in our lives. Sunny’s messages are extraordinary (you know what I mean) and Gaurav’s doing great work in his last phase of college.
There’s so much to remember and so much more to tell, as always….
